The project aims to promote media literacy and knowledge of democracy, human rights, civil society, and it aims to foster youth empowerment and participation. We strengthen local initiatives and build a translocal network of trainers. We are based in Berlin and Kyiv.
Vadym Chernikov co-manages the CITIZEN+ project since 2019 incl. the coordination of promotion and social media campaigns. He is the head of the NGO NEED, which creates multimedia educational projects for Ukrainians and about Ukrainians. His specialisation is the creation of innovative educational digital products aimed at qualitative social changes in society.
Yaryna Vyshenska is the creative director of educational multimedia projects at NGO NEED and NUDGE CREATIVE AGENCY. She specialises in strategy and art direction of educational and communication projects. She is the co-founder and co-CEO of the charity organisation SYLNI, which helps people who have survived sexual violence during the war.
Nadja Sieffert manages the CITIZEN+ project incl. the conceptualisation and facilitation of study trips and trainings, PR and financial management. She studied the Master Eastern European studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, specialising in political science and sociology, and has worked as a research assistant on youth surveys, as a guide for educational trips and in youth exchange projects. She is active in human rights and civil society initiatives.
